North Star BBB will play Park River-Fordville-Lankin on Monday at 3:00 PM in the Region Tournament in Devils Lake. Student tickets are $5.00 online or at the door. Adult tickets for the Boys’ Regional Tournament next week in Devils Lake are $10/day online or $15/ day at the gate. The North Star boys basketball team will play Warwick on Monday, March 2 at 3:00 PM at the District Tournament in Langdon. Students wanting to go to the game will be allowed to leave at 1:30 PM as long as parents send a note or call the school on Monday morning. Games can also be seen on NFHS.
Congratulations to Lia winning the Towner County Spelling Bee and to Mila for taking second place. These girls will move on to the State Spelling Bee Competition in Bismarck at the end of March.

North Star is taking the opportunity to celebrate the 2026 Olympics and learn about different cultures. Monday morning the staff and students participated in an opening ceremony complete with a torch. Each student, K-12, is assigned to a teacher and a country. Throughout the week they will be working on researching and developing artifacts for their room. Friday, students will rotate from room to room learning more about the selected countries. The opening ceremony was live-streamed on North Star Bearcats Booster Club’s Facebook page if you’d like to go back and watch. Reminder: February 4 Professional Development time for teachers has moved from a late start to an early out. Students will be dismissed at 1:45 PM that day so teachers can attend a workshop from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
