Dear Parents, Football season is right around the corner. Lil' Cats is for kids in grades 4-6. Our season will go 6 weeks, beginning on Monday, August 26th. Practices will be on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. If your child is interested in playing, please come to the player/parent meeting at 7:00 pm on Sunday, August 18. We will talk about the upcoming season, collect fees, and the kids will get their equipment. The fee is $75/kid. If you are writing a check, please make it out to Lil' Cats. If you can't make the meeting, please call or text me ASAP at my number below. Lil' Cats is not school affiliated so please contact me directly with any questions.

A volleyball player/parent meeting for grades 7-12 is scheduled for Sunday, August 18th, at 7:00 pm in the lunchroom. Players must complete their physicals to participate in the first practice, which begins on Monday, August 19th. There are physical forms along with the concussion fact sheet in the high school.
The 2024-25 FIRST LEGO League Challenge has been released! Check out the missions for SUBMERGED! FLL is open to students grades 4-9. Stay tuned for more info!

A reminder that there will be a Football Parent meeting tonight starting at 5:30 in the North Star lunchroom. This meeting will be for students and their parents/guardians in grades 7-12 that plan on participating in football this fall. If you have your physical completed, bring it with you and can turn into the coaches. We will also have the concussion forms on hand for both parents and student athlete to sign and turn in.

9th – 12th grade football players: 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM
Seniors: 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM
Juniors : 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM
Sophomores: 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM
Freshman: 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM
8th Grade 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM
7th Grade 1:15 PM – 2:00 PM
Please fill out the Pre-Registration form that is online on the North Star School website. If unable to register on this day, please contact the school. Any JH/HS students not able to make the assigned time may register from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
All parents (kindergarten through twelfth grade) need to complete and sign a technology agreement for their student that day.

Fall sports are quickly approaching. A reminder to student athletes that an updated sports physical is required to participate for the 2024-2025 school year. The physical forms once completed can be turned into the office with Tammie.
North Star's FIRST Robotics team is on the way to Fargo for the STEM Expo's off-season competition. The Lake Region SWAT Team will be conducting a training exercise tonight Thursday, July 25th at approximately 6pm at the North Star High School.
The training is to familiarize the SWAT team's knowledge of the local area as well as response to various events.
This is ONLY A TRAINING and it WILL ONLY BE INSIDE OF THE SCHOOL. The school will be closed to the public during this training. Please do not enter the school, and, if you need to, contact Lt. Juarez with the Towner County Sheriff's Office for arrangements during that time.
