Our 3rd Annual Color Run was a huge success! Friendly Reminder: North Star Schools will dismiss today, Monday May 20 at 2:20 PM. We will also dismiss tomorrow, Tuesday May 21 at 2:20 PM. There WILL be after school child care for those families who are enrolled. School will dismiss on Wednesday May 22 at 12:30 PM for the summer. There will NOT be after school child care available on Wednesday. Have a fun and safe summer, and we'll see you back for the 2024-25 school year on August 21.
Thank you to the 80+ people who attended the track night and donated to our timing system. All ages had a smile on their face as they tried out some events.
We are going ahead with the track recognition tonight at 6:00pm. We will do the recognition of athletes and sponsors at 6:00 pm in the lunchroom followed by a freewill donation hot dog supper. Then when the rain passes we will head to the track!

Congratulations to the entire North Star track team for a great season. At the Region Track meet we were able to get 4 more events qualified: Kristine in the 300 hurdles, Brody in the 400, Mikias in the 3200 and the 4 x 800 relay made up of Brody, Amaziah, Mikias and Sean. We have 8 athletes competing in 10 events next weekend in Bismarck. Reuben was also named senior athlete of the year. Great job Bearcats!

First grade has been busy learning about animal habitats. They each created their own habitat diorama. (Pictured are just a few of the habitats made.) They enjoyed root beer floats with their families while showing them their habitats!
North Star Junior Jorie Ahlberg has been selected as the North Star School NDHSAA Distinguished Student for the 2024-2025 school year.

Catching up on some Bearcat news!
Region Track today in Rugby! This is an exciting day for our track program. We have several student athletes hoping for some top placing to qualify for the State Track Meet next week. Good luck to those competing today. As of today, we have 3 State qualifiers in 6 events.
The North Star Golf team have been busy this spring and have found some decent weather to get on a few courses this spring. Next week they will have a qualifying meet on Thursday, May 23 in Lakota and region meet will be on May 28 in Lakota.
The North Star baseball team continues to play good baseball heading into the semi-finals of the Region 5 baseball tournament. They are scheduled to play on Monday at 1:00.
Congratulations to Garrett Westlind, Karsen Simon, Zach Jorde and Dane Hagler for earning all-region award. Dane Hagler was selected as the Senior Athlete of the Year for Region 5 and Jesse Vote was selected as Coach of the Year.
Congratulations and good luck to the student athletes competing the next couple of weeks.
