This meeting is intended for parents and their child in grades 7-12 who are planning to participate in volleyball this fall. Fall sports are quickly approaching. A reminder to student athletes that an updated sports physical is required to participate for the 2024-2025 school year. The physical forms once completed can be turned into the office with Tammie.
North Star's FIRST Robotics team is on the way to Fargo for the STEM Expo's off-season competition. We will join 10 other teams for a weekend of robots AND aviation, because the Expo is part of the 2024 Fargo AirShow!! The Lake Region SWAT Team will be conducting a training exercise tonight Thursday, July 25th at approximately 6pm at the North Star High School.
The training is to familiarize the SWAT team's knowledge of the local area as well as response to various events.
This is ONLY A TRAINING and it WILL ONLY BE INSIDE OF THE SCHOOL. The school will be closed to the public during this training. Please do not enter the school, and, if you need to, contact Lt. Juarez with the Towner County Sheriff's Office for arrangements during that time.
Camp is right around the corner! Sign up before Monday to make sure you receive your t-shirt.
Cando is hosting the American Legion District Tournament and is looking for volunteers.
There are still slots open for tickets, concessions, and grilling. Please consider signing up to help out with this event.
We will be charging admission to all games, and if you volunteer you will get in for free.

Fall Activity Schedules have been posted on the school website at www.northstar.k12.nd.us, click on Menu and choose activities to see the fall schedules for volleyball and football. Girls Golf and 5th & 6th Grade GBB will be updated once a schedule has been created. Practice schedules will also be updated before the start dates of each activity.

Attention North Star families! School registration is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. ALL parents of students in K-12 need to attend this day! Preschool parents, please fill out the attached registration form, and you do not need to attend.
The following are required for school registration each year:
1. Online registration form for each child. (This should be completed before registration day.)
2. Signed technology agreement for each child.
3. Fees paid in the office.
4. Birth certificate and updated immunization record (if school does not have one).
5. Free/reduced lunch paperwork.
6. Elementary daycare registration, if attending.
7. Updated medication administration forms, if school personnel administer.

North Star Gym will be closed for the remainder of the week, until July 22, due to high humidity and slow drying time on the wax. We have noticed areas where the wax has not yet dried, and we want to make sure the floor is in top shape for events throughout the school year.

Hello North Star students and parents. I am sending out a message to girls that will be in grades 7-12 for the 2024-2025 school year that are interested in participating in golf in the fall.
