North Star Schools

North Star will be using a different live streaming service for the 2024-2025 school year. We will be using HUDL live streaming services. We have been in contact with their marketing team to help our patrons, families and community make the transition to the new platform. We will do what we can to help spread the word and make this a smooth transition. Thank you for your patience.

Dear Parents/Guardians, As of today, we have received 72 out of 127 Student Device Damage Protection Forms. To ensure that your child receives their iPad, we must have a signed form on file in the office. Please note that students will not be issued an iPad until we have received the completed form. We kindly ask that you return the form to the office before the first day of school. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

7th and 8th grade Football will meet at 3:00 tomorrow (8/14) to get their equipment. Practice will follow. A reminder that a physical is required and needs to be turned in before they can practice. Fee's must be paid and concussion forms turned in before the first game as well.

Practices will be on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. If your child is interested in playing, please come to the player/parent meeting at 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 18. We will talk about the upcoming season, collect fees, and the kids will get their equipment. The fee is $75/kid. If you are writing a check, please make it out to Lil' Cats. Online registrations need to be completed for each child, and we need your signature on technology forms. A volleyball player/parent meeting for grades 7-12 is scheduled for Sunday, August 18th, at 7:00 pm in the lunchroom. Players must complete their physicals to participate in the first practice, which begins on Monday, August 19th. There are physical forms along with the concussion fact sheet in the high school.

A reminder that there will be a Football Parent meeting tonight starting at 5:30 in the North Star lunchroom. This meeting will be for students and their parents/guardians in grades 7-12 that plan on participating in football this fall. If you have your physical completed, bring it with you and can turn into the coaches. We will also have the concussion forms on hand for both parents and student athlete to sign and turn in.

North Star School Registration Tuesday, August 6, 2024 Elementary registration in the main lobby from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. New and kindergarten students please bring copies of birth certificates and immunization records. Grades 7-12 registration at the following times in Room 101: 9th – 12th grade football players: 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM Seniors: 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM Juniors : 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM Sophomores: 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM Freshman: 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM 8th Grade 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM 7th Grade 1:15 PM – 2:00 PM Please fill out the Pre-Registration form that is online on the North Star School website. If unable to register on this day, please contact the school. Any JH/HS students not able to make the assigned time may register from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. All parents (kindergarten through twelfth grade) need to complete and sign a technology agreement for their student that day.

Attention Parents of upcoming 5th grade student who are interested in participating in band for the 2024-2025 school year!! Andria Juarez will be available during the Back to School night to meet with you and your student for any questions or concerns you may have about joining Band. We will have Popplers Music Company at the school during the evening of August 27th for any questions about rentals or purchasing of instruments. Students in grades 7-12 for the 2024-2025 academic year: Your class schedules have been updated on PowerSchool. You can view them through your PS account. Should you need any changes, Mr. Nygaard will be available in the office starting Tuesday, August 6th. Feel free to drop by at any time during the day to discuss and make the necessary adjustments.

There will be a volleyball parents meeting scheduled for Sunday, August 18th at 7:00 pm in the North Star School Lunchroom. This meeting is intended for parents and their child in grades 7-12 who are planning to participate in volleyball this fall.
