Sorry this is a little late but we just got back from New Rockford and it is not very nice out and our country roads are in tough shape from the drifting. We will go with a 10:00 AM start tomorrow morning. Bus will travel where possible, there will not be breakfast or morning daycare, but there will be morning Pre-School. Thank you.

Reminder to 9th-12th grade students, Scrubs Camp Applications are due Tuesday, February 22. Parent signatures are required on the forms.

The books have arrived for the book fair! It is a ONE NIGHT ONLY event on Tuesday, March 1st from 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. It will be held in the North Star Gym. We hope to see you there!

The games scheduled for tomorrow are still on as scheduled. The BBB games with New Rockford have been rescheduled for Monday and have been scheduled so that everyone may attend both the girl game and the boys games. The GBB team will play at 3:00 PM in the regional tournament in DL vs Four Winds/Minnewaukan on Monday. That bus will leave at 1:10 PM. The BBB teams (B and A) will play in New Rockford with an approximate start time of 5:30 PM on Monday. The BBB bus will leave Cando at 2:00 PM and go to DL to watch the girl’s game and after the game girls game leave for their games in New Rockford. Hopefully this all makes sense. Reminder no school on Monday.

This is a message from the North Star School. With the blizzard warning continuing, no travel advised, and buses that got stuck yesterday, we are canceling school for the day. The BBB games for tonight are postponed, at this time tomorrow’s BBB games are still on as scheduled. Reminder we do not have school on Monday as well. Thank you.

The plan is to start school at 10:30 AM tomorrow morning. If there is a change that decision will be made in the morning. Thank you.

Help us fill our Boxes of Sunshine!

I would like to thank everyone who attended Parent Teacher Conferences. We appreciate you taking interest in your student's education. In grades 7-12, 83% of our families attended conferences which was up from 52% in the Fall!

Just a reminder that PT Conferences are tomorrow from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We will dismiss school at 2:45 PM tomorrow. The parallel orange lines painted along the evergreens in the lunchroom parking lot are for the district tournament not student drop off or pick up. There will be no parking between those lines during the district tournament. Hopefully they will not be covered by snow in the morning. Have a good evening.

Congratulations to the following students for moving on to the Towner County Spelling Bee! 5th grade: Mya and Lily, 6th grade: Evan and Kendra, 7th grade: Moxon and Hadley, 8th grade: Claire and Lucy. Alternates are Sylas, Leighton, Kale, and Ashley. These students will compete on February 23, and the top two students will be invited to the state spelling bee in March! Congratulations, again!
