North Star will host a Region Boys Basketball Play-in game on Monday February 27th at 6:00 PM vs Benson County. This is a regional game so season passes do not work and admission prices are set by the state at $10/adult and $5/student. Doors will open at 5:00 PM and door #1 is the only door that will be used for admission. Thank you.

North Star will have a Book Fair on Thursday, March 2nd. It will be held in the lunchroom from 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. This is a great fundraising even for the North Star Library. Please come and check out all of the books that day!
We started some Bearcat Buddy groups today to encourage social skills and positive relationships through the grade levels. Here the fourth grade and seniors played Rabbit and a Possum then visited to get to know each other better.
The 6th grade class paired up with the freshman physical science class to create representations of Bohr's model atom.
The Towner County Spelling Bee was held today! We had eight participants from grades 5-8. Congratulations to Mya (1st) and Evan (2nd) as they qualified for the state spelling bee to be held on March 20, 2023, in Bismarck!
If you are headed to the game in Rolla tonight, currently the best route is Highway 17 to the Hawk Road. Highway 66 and 5 are both icy.

The North Star School is looking for a Superintendent or Superintendent/HS Principal for the 2023-24 school year. This is a 12-month position with a start date of July 1, 2023. Salary is based on experience. The position includes health insurance, personal leave, vacation time, annuity, 15.25% of TFFR is paid, sick leave, and payment of professional dues and admin conferences.
