This is a message from the North Star School. There will be a golf team send off for the state tournament on Monday at 9:00 AM in front of the school. There will be a baseball team send off in front of the school on Wednesday at 2:00 PM. There will be a Lasagna Free Will Offering Meal at the North Star Lunchroom on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. At this time, we do not know what time the baseball team will play next Thursday. We are hoping to find that out early tomorrow. Thank you.
Good evening. We would like to thank all the volunteers that helped with the region baseball tournament. Hosting tournaments are rewarding and are not possible without all the help we received. Thank you very much! Congratulations to the baseball team for winning the region baseball tournament and qualifying for the state baseball tournament starting next Thursday in Fargo. Prior to that tournament we have students competing in the state track meet in Bismarck beginning on Friday and next Tuesday and Wednesday we have students competing in the state golf tournament in Fargo. It is a great time to be a Bearcat. Congratulations to all our student athletes on their much-earned success and good luck at your state tournaments.
This is a message from the North Star School. The baseball tournament will be back in Cando tomorrow. There will be games at 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM with North Star playing at 5:00 PM. We need one ticket taker from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and two ticket takers from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. If you are able to help, please send me a text or give me a call. This is a message from the North Star School. The region baseball tournament for tomorrow has been moved to Rugby. North Star will play at 3:00 PM. We are hopeful that if it ever stops raining that the tournament will be moved back to Cando on Wednesday. We are still in charge of managing the tournament, but we do not expect those that are signed up to take tickets to drive to Rugby to take tickets. We do not have to worry about concessions tomorrow. We are still in need of some volunteers for the Region Baseball Tournament next week. We are looking for a ticket taker for the following times: Monday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The North Star School is looking for an Office Manager for the 2022-23 school year. We are a looking for a person with the following attributes: flexible, personable, reliable, strong communication skills, technology savvy, hard worker, and professional. This is a year-round position with an hourly pay range between $16 to $20/hour (DOE), single insurance policy, sick leave, vacation leave (up to 15 days), and annuity. Congratulations to the Boys' Golf Team for placing 2nd at the regional golf meet today and qualifying for the State Golf Tournament that will be at the Oxbow Country Club on May 31st and June 1st. Also congratulations to Drew Nicholas for being named the Region 3 Senior Athlete of the Year!
Congratulations to the baseball team for their win today, and with that win they are the Region 5 Champs, meaning we will be hosting the region baseball tournament on May 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Any time we host a tournament we need volunteers. We will need volunteers to take tickets, work concessions, and help at the scorers table. Ticket taking times on Monday are in two hour slots beginning at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM. On Tuesday ticket taking time slots are 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM. On Wednesday the time would be 2:00 PM. Concessions times will vary, if you can give us a day and approximate time we can make that work. If you are able to volunteer in any way contact the school. Graduation pictures are tomorrow morning at 7:45 AM. This is being done because of all the changes to the activity schedule. Thank you.
Good evening and welcome to the last week of school. We will dismiss school tomorrow at 3:00 PM, Tuesday at 3:00 PM, and on Wednesday the last day of school at 2:30 PM. There will be after school daycare tomorrow and Tuesday but no after school daycare on Wednesday. We will have a lot of excited students this week so please be extra cautious when dropping off or picking up your child. We want a safe ending to the 2021-22 school year. Graduation will be next Sunday at 3:00 PM in the North Star Gym. Thank you.
