There will be a Taco in the Bag meal tomorrow at the North Star Lunchroom from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM to support the High School Baseball Team that will be competing in the State BaseballTournament this week in Minot. North Star will play the last game of the day on Thursday at approximately 6:30 PM vs Central Cass. There will be a team sendoff on Thursday somewhere between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM, to be determined yet. Thank you.
A reminder that VB camp will be held tomorrow and Wednesday in the North Star Gym. Students in grades 1-3 have camp from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM and students in grades 4-7 have camp from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Thank you.
Hunter placed 2nd in long jump (21'6"). Reuben broke the school record in discus (132'10") and Brody broke the school record in the 400 M (53.01). Congratulations on a great state meet!

Congratulations to the baseball team for winning the Region V tournament and advancing to the state baseball tournament in Minot, which will begin a week from today. The pairings for the tournament will be announced tomorrow at 11:00 AM. Congratulations to Garrett Westlind, Karsen Simon, Zack Jorde, and Dane Hagler for being named to the Region V All-Region Team and congratulations to Coach Vote for being named the Region V Coach of the Year. The state track meet begins today in Bismarck and will be on the NFHS Network. North Star has athletes in the boys discus, shot put, long jump, high jump, and 400 meter run and girl athlete in the discus.

The second grade made their own lunches, learned how to plant a garden yesterday, and simply enjoyed each other's company. They stopped at Cando Grocery and the Cando Greenhouse for supplies.
Congratulations to our State Track Meet Qualifiers ~ Rogue (discus), Reuben (shot put, discus), Brody (400 M), Dane (high jump), Hunter (long jump and high jump). These athletes will compete on May 25 - May 27 in Bismarck!

Seniors visiting First State Bank and were given a tour of the bank. They also were given descriptions of jobs at the bank and responsibilities each job has. Thank you to First State Bank of Cando for having us.
Ecology students had a great time on their field trip to Audubon National Wildlife Refuge and the Garrison Dam National Fish Hatchery. We had a chance to do some hiking, bird watching, and learn about stocking fish in ND.
