North Star Students have been participating in the NDSU Chorus Festival in Fargo the past few days. The concert will be live-streamed at www.ndsu.edu/performingarts/music/stream/ starting at 4:30.
Our Elementary Music Department is putting on a fundraiser through Donors Choose. We are raising money to receive new Ukulele method books, Rhythm sticks, and other important equipment for our classes. The best part, you do not have to purchase any candy, ice cream, or other items! You donate however much you want and when we reach our goal, the items are automatically sent to our school! Elementary Boys Basketball will start on October 7th. The first practice will be at 5:45-7:15 at the North Star High School gym.
FIRST Lego League will meet Tuesday (3:30 - 5 p.m.) and Friday 3:15 - 5 p.m. in the high school shop classroom. Team members should plan to attend one practice, but may attend both if they like. Thanks!

Hey Bearcat Fans! With a few changes that have been made the past few weeks we want to make sure our fans know.
Below are those changes for football.
Bearcats will be playing at Cavalier tomorrow (9/27) the start time for the game has been changed to 4:00.
The North Star football game v. St. John has been changed to be played on October 3rd (previously October 4th). These changes have been made by the impact that North Dakota is seeing with low numbers of officials. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we are working with officiating crews in our region to make it work. Please share this with others to let your friends and family know. Thank you!
TOMORROW is school picture Day. Retake and Preschool Picture Day is November 1.
Your child should have brought home a form last week. If he/she didn't, or it is lost, never fear! You can order online at: mylifetouch.com with the Picture ID: EVTQ8MRGG.
Attention Parents and Guardians! Now that we have been in school for over a month, students are comfortable with finding their way to their classes in the morning. Parents are asked to drop their students off outside the school building in the morning, rather than accompanying them to class.
Also, school doors are locked during the school day. This is for the safety of students and staff inside the building. If you need to come in the building during the school day, please sign in at the main office (door 1). If you need to see a teacher, please make an appointment. The best way to get messages to your students is to call the main office and speak to Tammie. Thank you for your understanding!
