All Voters who wish to Vote via Absentee Ballot must complete an Absentee Voters Ballot Application (SFN 51468) and return to the school Business Office. Please follow the steps below.
Step 1. Absentee Voters Ballot Application (SFN 51468) can be obtained in one of the following ways.

A request to mail or email form SFN 51468 by calling the school Business Manager, at 701-968-4416 or email at kimberly.tschepen@k12.nd.us
Stop by the North Star Public School business Manager's office and pick up the application at 418 2nd Street, Cando, ND.
Step 2. Print, complete, and sign the application and return to the North Star Public School District Office. Make sure the "School or Special Election" box is checked at the top of the form. Applications can be returned in one of the following ways:
Deposit into the white drop Box by the main school entrance.
Deliver in person to the North Star Public School business Manager's office at 418 2nd Street, Cando, ND

Absentee Ballots will be available May 1st, 2025
North Dakota law requires that voters submit a completed application in a timely manner so as to allow the applicant to receive, complete and mail the absent voter’s ballot before the day of the election.
No ballots will be given or sent without a returned application in 2025. Absentee Voter applications completed in prior years are void and a new application must be submitted each year.
