ELECTION NOTICE
On TUESDAY, June 11th, 2024, North Star Public School District #10 will hold its annual school board election for the purpose of electing three board members. The polls will open at 8:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM on that day in the Cando Armory (408 5th Ave, Cando, ND) the designated polling place.
Open board positions are:
one 3-year term for Area 1: Former Southern School District (Cando)
one 3-year term for Area 2: Former Bisbee-Egeland School District
one 3-year term for Area 3: At-Large
Candidates have filed for all three open positions; write-in candidates are also allowed.
Voters must provide an acceptable form of identification that includes the voter’s name, residential address, and date of birth. Acceptable forms of ID include:
valid ND drivers’ license or non-driver’s ID card (issued by the ND Department of Transportation)
tribal government issued ID card.
long-term care ID certificate (provided by ND facility).
To vote absentee or via a mail-in Ballot an SFN 51468 ABSENTEE/MAIL BALLOT APPLICATION must be completed and received by the school. If you already submitted SFN 51468 to Towner County, you should be good to go as they forward them to us if you marked the school election box.
