SPECIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
March 27, 2023
The School Board of North Star Public School District #10 met for a special session on Monday, March 27, 2023 in the North Star shop classroom.
PRESENT: Chris Doehler, Jeremiah Halley, Vickie Jacksen, Jeana Jorde, Brooks Larson, Paul Wagenman; Michelle Gibbens was not present but participated via text during part of the meeting. Administration: Nancy Reiser, Jessica Gunderson, Cathy Johnson. VISITORS: Bryan Haugen, Sara Walsh, and Tyler Olsen - Superintendent Search Committee members.
Board President Jacksen called the meeting to order at 7:05 a.m. Agenda item 6.a. Old Business - Supt Search was noted as the only item to be discussed at this meeting.
Old Business: Nancy Reiser and other members of the Superintendent Search Committee updated the board on the status of their search. There have been 15 views of the job opening listing and 4 applicants. One candidate has been interviewed; committee members shared feedback re: that interview. The board also reviewed the resume submitted by a 5th applicant who will be submitting the additional required application documents this week; an interview with this candidate will be scheduled as per board consensus. The candidate eventually recommended by the search committee to fill the superintendent position will then be interviewed by the entire board.
Next meeting is April 24th, 2023 at 7:00 a.m. in the shop classroom.
