Day #64 @ NS 11.20.2018

Tuesday November 20, 2018                                                                                                       Day #64 (B)

-The HS musical will be performed tonight at 7:00 PM.

-No Pre-School this week.

-DLC Hockey versus Bottineau-Rugby tonight at 7:30 PM.

-No school on Thursday or Friday.

-City Bus Route started yesterday, after school only.  The city bus will not come back once it has left the school, students riding the city bus need to get to the bus right after school.

-GBB scrimmage in Velva on Saturday at 10:00 AM, the bus will leave at 7:45 AM.

-Worship Wednesday classes at the Lutheran Church will not be held this week.

-Congratulations to the VB for their wins last night at Rolette.

-VB versus Langdon on Monday with five matches (JH,JH,C,B,A) starting at 4:00 PM.  This will be “Senior Night”.

-There will be a Girls and Boys State Rep here today to visit with juniors at 2:00 PM.

-Today is the end of the first nine weeks, with report cards being handed out next week at PT Conferences.

-Junior parent meeting after the VB matches on Monday.

-PWBBB at St. John on Monday starting at 4:30 PM.  They will leave at 3:10 PM, please excuse players at 3:00 PM.

-PT Conferences will be held next Thursday (November 1st) from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, school will dismiss at 2:45 PM that day.

-We are celebrating Red Ribbon Week

Today is:         “Red’ E to live a Drug-Free Life”

-Yesterday’s trivia/question winners were Toby Thacker, Haley Klingenberg and Mya Rider  Please come to the office for your prize.

-Red Ribbon Trivia for 3-12 grade students: Red Ribbon Week is celebrated on what days every year?

-Question for K-2 grade students: Write or draw a picture of someone in our school that helps keep us safe.

-The Concordia College Rep will be here on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Seniors please sign up in Mrs. Reiser’s office if you would like to visit with her.

-The schedule for workers for the PWBBB Jamboree on November 3rd has been posted on the office window.  Please check the schedule for when you are scheduled to work and let Mr. Hagler know if that time does not work for you.

-School Picture Day has been rescheduled to November 6th.  More information to follow.

-The 4th and 5th graders are going to an Ag Day in Rock Lake as soon as announcements are done.

-VB in Leeds today with four matches (JH,C,B,A) starting at 4:00 PM, the bus will leave at 3:00 PM.

-FB at Towner tomorrow at 7:00 PM, the bus will leave at 3:40 PM.

-Varsity VB Tournament in Rolla on Saturday.  They will leave at 8:20 AM.

-PWBBB practice will begin on Monday.  This is for boys in grades 4-6.  Practice will be in the gym on Monday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

-JHFB on Monday at Leeds.  The bus will leave at 3:30 PM.

-FB Game for tonight has been cancelled.

-Elementary Library will begin on Monday August 27th.

-Last day to change classes in the JH/HS is Monday

-Varsity VB tournament in Bottineau tomorrow.  North Star will play at 10:45 AM versus St. John.  That bus will leave at 8:45 AM.

-JHFB versus TGU on Monday at 4:30 PM.

-VB at Rugby on Tuesday.  The JH will play two matches that will start at 4:30 PM in the armory in Rugby. The C,B, and A matches will be played in the main gym beginning at 5:00 PM.  The bus will leave at 2:55 PM, please excuse players at 2:40 PM.

-Girls’ golf is at their Region Golf Tournament today in Park River at 9:00 AM.

-Regional Baseball Tournament begins today. North Star will play here versus Dunseith at 4:15 p.m. Please excuse players at 3:00 p.m.

-Congratulations to Austin Oakland for qualifying for the State Golf Tournament.

-Region Track in Rugby on Friday at 3:30 PM, they will leave at 1:30 PM.

-BB camp registrations forms are due May 22nd.

-There will be a meeting for anyone interested in participating in the Summer Acceleration  program on Friday at 12:45 p.m. in Mr. Vote’s room.  This is for students in 6th through 12th grade.

-Congratulations to the JH/HS music students for their performances at last night’s concert.  Also congratulations to Evelyn Sims for receiving the Freddie B Eggl Scholarship and vocal award and to Stephanie Miller for receiving the John Phillip Sousa Award.

-The new mats are going up in the gym today. Just a reminder that absolutely no one is allowed to sit on these new mats.

-Speech practice today at 3:30 p.m. in room 110.

-Region Speech Meet is in Rolette on Saturday. That bus will leave at 7:20 a.m.

-Little girls basketball/volleyball open gym will be on Monday, April 16 instead of Tuesday, April 17.

-There were 73 tallies from yesterday.   Reminder this is a school wide goal.  The goal has been set at 2500 tallies.
