WELCOME!!!! I would like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Kristi Haadem (hay-dum) and I work in the Elementary Resource Room. This is my 16th year of teaching and 8th year of working in Special Education. All of my past years, I have had various teaching experiences in the Rolla and Belcourt area. This will be my 2nd year of working at North Star. I am looking forward to an awesome year of learning. I truly value family involvement and am excited about getting to know all of you. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
Please feel free to contact me at school at 701-968-4416 or by email at Kristi.Haadem@k12.nd.us. I welcome your thoughts and am looking forward to working together to make a successful year! I would much rather sort out a possible problem in the beginning, then creating a big problem in the end.
CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR PLAN
In our classroom, the kids work towards earning stickers in order to fill-up a star. After ten stickers, the star can be turned into me and a prize is given. Some sample prizes include larger stickers, pencils, candy, IPad time, or various other trinkets. If the kids are having a “bad day”, they lose their chance to earn a sticker for that class time. However, it is a fresh slate the next time they come into the room and they start out on a positive note.
